The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty (Sleeping Beauty #1) by A.N. Roquelaure (Pseudonym), Anne Rice Blog Tour Stop

From bestselling author Anne Rice, writing as A.N. Roquleaure. In the traditional folktale of 'Sleeping Beauty,' the spell cast upon the lovely young princess and everyone in her castle can only be broken by the kiss of a Prince. It is an ancient story, one that originally emerged from and still deeply disturbs the mind's unconscious. Now Anne Rice's retelling of the Beauty story probes the unspoken implications of this lush, suggestive tale by exploring its undeniable connection to sexual desire. Here the Prince reawakens Beauty, not with a kiss, but with sexual initiation. His reward for ending the hundred years of enchantment is Beauty's complete and total enslavement to him as Anne Rice explores the world of erotic yearning and fantasy in a classic that becomes, with her skillful pen, a compelling experience.

MY REVIEW

5 OF 5 SLEEPING BEAUTIES

******* THIS IS AN ADULT READ AND CONTAINS SERIOUS SEXUAL TONES *******
This book is not for the faint at heart! If you are a little skiddish about sex then this is not the book for you. Yes the tale starts off with some semblance to Sleeping Beauty but then it gets right into the BDSM world. BDSM is a lifestyle that people chose and enjoy. When I first started reading it I was okay maybe this might be to much for me but before you know it you are looking past all the spanking and punishment sex to see that this is how they want it.

I don't say this in a joking manner but I definitely am not putting any contents of the book in this review because it was very graphic at times. I loved the story line and the plot and if you can put your chastity belt away and your prudence attitude you will find that this book is well worth the read. I heard a lot of flack about this series but it warns you before reading it clearly stating what it is about.

Remember as long as it is two consenting adults being intimate in any way then it is considered beautiful art. I would say that this is it and I look forward to reading the other two books to see where she takes this.
